Jasper

Jasper is a senior goat, about 12 years old. He was picked up by animal control wandering the streets of Hemet, CA. They gave him four days to be claimed or adopted before they were going to euthanize him, so Melissa drove 3 hours round trip to bust him out of jail. It was so worth it! The staff were scared of him. He looks intimidating, and they were not knowledgeable about goats at all. They drug this sweet old man out by his horns! Turns out he is leash trained, and once Melissa put a collar on him, he happily walked with her! We quarantined him, neutered him, and then he was free to make friends in herd (Sybil is in love with him!) and live out his days being spoiled and loved. Jasper does have some stiff joints and is on supplements to help keep him comfortable.
